Jeff Musser - Co-Producer - Bass Player, Conceptualist
Born and educated in California, Jeff Musser evolved as a conceptual
artist of sorts throughout his life. Since 1990, he makes a living
creating advertising and graphic design, and explores music and production
design for film and interactive media. Presently, he is a creative
director in advertising in San Francisco.
Jeff co-produced The Rise and Fall of Black Velvet Flag, a documentary
feature about a musical trio that, through their performances, mocked
the experience of growing up through punk culture into adulthood.
As co-producer of Mysterious Pictures, Jeff contributes to a partnership
devoted to the creation of socially provocative works of entertainment
media.
Fred Stesney - Singer, Lyricist
Fred Stesney was born and educated in California. His history as
a provocateur and visual artist found a professional reception in
advertising and music. Fred was a founding member, singer and lyricist
of Black Velvet Flag, a band that covered hardcore punk songs to
the music of lounge jazz. Fred retired from advertising in 1999 and
has since continued his musical career as both an electronic musician
and recording engineer.
Jason Zasky - Guitarist, Songwriter
Jason Zasky was born in New York and educated in Atlanta and Los
Angeles. His training as a professional guitarist and writer enabled
him to fluidly move between musician / performer and music journalist.
Jason was a founding member, guitarist and songwriter for Black Velvet
Flag, a band that covered hardcore punk songs to the music of lounge
jazz. In 1999, Jason left the music industry and created Failuremag.com,
an entertaining commercial web publication that documents interesting
failed endeavors throughout history. Jason is an editor and co-owner
of this growing electronic publishing enterprise.
